Scattered thunderstorms. Flash flood and possible tornado watches. High humidity.

The dog days are definitely not over, but they seem to have arrived. I’m not one to complain about warm temperatures as you know. I do complain, however, about any kind of weather that keeps me inside. I told Robin this morning that I was wondering if you can have cabin fever in the summer. Bearyweather said for sure you can. Things aren’t as bad here as it sounds like it is in northern Minnesota right now, but I’m definitely getting antsy. My injured back (on the mend) and now the weather are conspiring I’m sure. Tomorrow’s forecast is no better.

Yesterday, day 25, I worked on and finished the project I referenced in my second to last post. I don’t think the person this project is for will find their way to this blog post, but to be on the safe side, I’ll wait to show it to you on a different day. Here’s where I spent most of the day yesterday:
Work space

My old-fashioned but still working scanner is on the end table just past my computer. Photo albums are scattered about the table, more than you can see in the shot. I’m quite happy with the results of the project and hope the recipient likes it just as much when I have the chance to present it.

Today, day 26, is an inside-y kind of day too. I went out and did some errands to at least get out of the house for a while, but now I’m back in, looking out at the rain.

As I said to Robin in my comment, I’m definitely looking for some adventuring. Planning to seek some out in the days to come, weather-permitting!

  1. I second the need for an adventure. Where are WE going ? πŸ˜‰

    • Wow, this from a woman who just recently explored an island for four hours and had to rescue a runaway kayak? πŸ˜‰

  2. Rainy days and Mondays are like that. Sometimes even Tuesdays.

    • Looks like today, Wednesday, will be like that too.

  3. The weather is definitely ruining the adventurous outdoor activities. Looking like the next few days might be better for me, hope it is for you too.

    • Yes, the forecast seems to improve starting tomorrow. You are an early riser Mike, going by the time stamp of your comments!

  4. May I come along too? I’m in need of a great adventure. I really like the shot of your work area and the way the light is streaming in.
Thank you for the link. πŸ™‚

    • I have a feeling my adventure won’t be anything great, but getting out of the house and doing something different will be adventuresome for me these days! Gee, Sybil wants to come too – where do you suppose the equi-distant point between Nova Scotia, Massachusetts and Maryland would be? πŸ˜‰ Ok I just google-mapped the approximate distance away you two might be. Sybil is about 700 miles northeast of me and you are about 400 miles southwest. I think that would put us having an adventure somewhere in Maine to split the difference, what do you say? LOL
