Three Weeks Already

I’ve been out of school for 3 weeks already. This time of year passes much more quickly than the winter, don’t you think?

Sarah and I spent some time together today. She is having her senior portraits taken next week, so of course that meant a little shopping. After choosing a few things, we popped over to Panera Bread for lunch.

I’ve been hoping that once the house renovations that we started last year get moving again, I might be able to get some new furniture. For the heck of it, Sarah and I popped into a furniture store to have a look around.

How is your summer so far?


  1. It IS going fast. That surprises me. When it’s hot and humid (as it’s been), usually the time drags. It’s hard to believe we’re almost halfway through July already. Your lunch looks like fun. So does the furniture hunting. šŸ™‚

    • Thanks Robin. I love the time I get to spend with my girls in the summer, but I’m learning even that is fleeting!

  2. I’m entering my 5th post-retirement summer and it’s still marvellous. Time is different. You don’t seem to be able to cram as much into your days … you’d think we’d do more not less. I don’t see September as the end of summer but merely as a transition into another season …
