Okay, what is it with frogs lately?

Day 19 of summer, driving home from the grocery store, *gasp*, what’s that? Right there on my windshield, while I’m driving!

Frog on a windshield

Yup, another frog, or perhaps toad this time. I’m honestly not sure how to tell the difference, but there it was looking in my windshield at me. The drive home from the grocery store is short, and I hoped it wouldn’t blow off and become frog pâté.  It briefly disappeared from view, but when I arrived home in the driveway, it appeared in this spot I’m showing you in the photos, unruffled, unperturbed.

*If you don’t know my previous frog story, please read this post.

I retired to the deck with a glass of peach herbal iced tea and my Kindle.

I’m not sure where the frog went – hopefully not for a dip in the hot tub.

  1. Well..That is very strange. He must have suction cupped himself to your car..ha! You look very serene on your porch reading.

  3. How the heck did he/she get up there ? I can usually tell a frog from a toad … but this one looks a bit like both.

    • This frog/toad definitely had little suction-cup-like toes. I suspect that is how it got there!

  4. lol! Hopefully not (in the hot tub). It looks like a tree frog. We had one like that who used to hang out on our back door at the old homestead. Every time I went out the back door, he’d fall down on my head or shoulder.
