Some Answers for Cee

I had a look at Cee’s Share Your World questions for this week and when I saw the first question, I just knew I had to participate! Feels a bit like, oh I don’t know, Karma maybe? šŸ˜‰

In what do you find the simplest of joys?
Great question Cee – and what I am striving to find as often as possible. I shared a couple simple joys in this post. Here are a few more:

tiger swallowtail
Butterflies on my butterfly bush in the summer

toes in the sand
My toes in the sand, any season of the year but winter

Supersteak 2-pounder
A tomato grown in my garden

collie face full of snow
Snow on a funny collie face

Jello or Pudding? And what is your favorite flavor?
I’d have to go with pudding, and the darkest chocolate flavor.

Is there a language you would like to learn?
I’ve had a long-standing love affair with the French language, as I chronicled once in this blog post. I took it all through school and for a year in college. I can still read some of it, but my skills are definitely slipping. I’d love to be able to understand it as I once did.

Do you prefer juice or fruit?
Fruit for sure and just about any kind! This is a difficult time of the year for finding decent fruit here in New England. A couple weeks ago I got some strawberries from Florida that were pretty good and that was a little thrill!

While searching for fruit photos to add to this post, I realized I’ve done a lot of posts about fruit. Add that to my simple joys, Cee, and thanks again for the questions!

    • I’m sure Teddy would disagree with you – I’ll bet he thinks that chocolate pudding goes just fine with a collie face, lol!

    • Thanks Robin. And I just noticed I picked all red fruit to feature here. Must be my brain looking for brightness in this “gray bucket of suck” šŸ˜‰

  6. I’ve gotta get me one of them thar butterfly bushes !

    Comment by sybil — January 22, 2014 @ 5:50 pm | Reply

    • Yes, yes, you do! Make this the year it becomes your resolve, and find a spot in your yard where you won’t mind if it spreads out a bit. Mine have gotten quite large over the years, but they are a great spot for summer butterfly watching.

  7. “Snow on a funny collie face” is my pick of these photos Karma (just look at that little funny twisted nose!) followed by the beautiful butterfly photo. I have a cute little collie face here with my right now, my daughter has brought me her border collie, Bella, to keep me company for the day, and she is sitting on my feet under the desk.

    • Thanks Joanne. Nothing like a dog at your feet or a cat in your lap to keep you company.

  8. Feeling some of your beautiful simple joys, Karma. Personally, bare feet and sand sounds heavenly!

    Comment by Kathy — January 26, 2014 @ 4:04 pm | Reply

    • Thanks Kathy. Find myself truly longing for feet in the warm sand during this wicked cold snap.

  9. I need some fresh fruit that is not an apple soon! Raspberries would be good.

    Comment by Dawn — January 27, 2014 @ 7:59 pm | Reply

    • Although the winter ones are not any where near as good as the ones we get in the summer, I’ve been able to get some berries recently that were pretty good.
