Hi everyone! I am planning to write a blog of my own later today, but I found this in my email this morning and thought I would share. I don’t know how WordPress chooses the blogs they make a year end report for; this is my 4th year blogging with WordPress, but I think the second time I’ve received one of these reports. Did you receive one too? I hope you’ll publish it, I’d love to read yours too!
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 6,700 times in 2013. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 6 trips to carry that many people.
Hey, I’m #3 ! I’ll have to “try harder” next year. lol
Wish I had the gumption to switch over from Blogger. I think WordPress takes much better care of its Bloggers and creates more of a community feel. Blogger does nothing at all. I’m just scared that in switching over I’d loose everything.
Looking forward to that year in review. Guess I better start working on mine.
Happy New Year!
BTW, “periodic table” ?!

You are a fabulous commenter, Sybil!
I don’t know if the blog I write later today will definitely be a “year in review” post but it may be….the full post hasn’t really taken hold in my head yet, lots of ideas just floating around, jockeying for position right now, lol.
That periodic table search is just bizarre to me how often it shows up as a search term – it directs back to that “7 things about me” post from last year where I mentioned the periodic table – why people get directed here for that search term is a mystery!
I think if you made the jump to WordPress, you could still keep your Blogger posts archived. My sister used to blog for our local newspaper’s website then tired of it, but she was able to make an archive of those posts on her WordPress blog. I can ask her how to do it if you are interested.
Happy New Year!

Hey Karma, Thanks for this. I was being silly with my “try harder” comment. I was thinking of the old “AVIS” commercials … “We’re #2 so we try harder” … boy that’s dating me.
WordPress seems to offer the ability to convert from Blogger. I’m just scared to press the damn button and do it … hey, maybe I should make that one of my resolutions … lol
I like doing years in review coz they cause me to go back through my year and realize how lucky I really am.
Happy New Year kiddo.

I got one this morning too – wasn’t sure about making it public, but perhaps I will. Fun to look at. Looking forward to another year of following you!

Karma, congratulations! I have been thinking about your “year in review” since I read it earlier this morning. It is a joy to know you through your blogging adventures. Many blessings to you in 2014!

Thanks Kathy, how kind of you to say. That other blog post is giving me difficulties, still bouncing around in my brain but really trying hard to get out. I think it might be time to just let the fingers type and see what comes out!
