Photo Hunting in June

I’m back!  While I didn’t receive a ton of comments to my previous post, I received enough to come up with a little inspiration for this month’s hunt.  I apologize for not getting to posting this until 10 days into June.  Let’s get a little abstract for this month, shall we?  Not abstract art or photography, a la Scott a few months ago, but words that are a little more abstract and perhaps a bit of a challenge.

I think those words would have a nice feeling, so very different from how I was feeling earlier this week.

In addition, I’m going to include 2 bonus shots this month, ideas supplied also from the comments section:

  • Strewn,  because I liked Cathy’s idea about words rhyming with June and I think this word has some neat possibilities
  • Toast, because it was Gerry’s idea and I love Gerry’s sense of fun!

Take until the very end of the month to get your photo hunt done, to help make up for my tardiness in posting this month.  If you’d be so kind as to help me spread the word and help to get your blogging friends to participate, I’d be very appreciative.  As usual, leave your links to your photo hunts in the comments section of this post.

And because I am not capable of doing a blog post without a photo, here’s a shot of some new-to-me flowers I am trying this season, lantana:

  1. Oh sure, throw in a word that makes me reach for the dictionary!! 😉 Well…. OK, the online dictionary (haven’t cracked an ACTUAL dictionary open in years), but still……. 😉

I will do my best!! I think this is just what I need to get me shooting again!

  3. Are you sure that fourth one isn’t supposed to be “a plum”? 😉
Love your little flower…does it attract many butterflies?

  13. I think you came up with some good ideas, dear Karma! It’s always fun to see what folks decide to share. (And I’ve noticed a couple of kind bloggers have been sharing your hunt.) By the way, are you out of school yet? Starting to enjoy your summer? Hope so…

    • Thanks, Kathy. Yes, I am out for the summer. We were busy with recital this weekend, and I did a lot of chores on this Father’s Day, but now I am ready to let the relaxing begin! Hoping to edit some recital photos and post soon. 🙂

  18. […] Karma’s June Photo Hunt is pretty interesting. To me it expresses feelings more than person, place, or thing (although certainly person, place, or thing could represent or be the  recipient of those feelings). I wasn’t sure what I’d be able to do with some of the words. To be honest, even as I sit down to put together this post I’m still not sure. I guess we will all have to wait and see where it goes as I scan through the photos I’ve taken this month. Since I spent more than half of June traveling, I suspect most (if not all) of the photos will come from my adventures in Canada and Maine. […]
