Karma's When I Feel Like It Blog

Wish I was here…

Filed under: Uncategorized — Karma @ 10:27 pm

I can hardly believe it has been a month since we left for Maine – and that I’ve bored you with little else since then here on the blog!  Meghan grabbed my camera one afternoon and snapped this shot of me while I was lazily floating.   What a peaceful, worry-free moment that was.  Ahhhhhh!

I have absolutely no clever segue for you here, but I did want to take moment to alert you to a new assignment from Scott, if you haven’t seen it yourself already.  It is an intriguing topic and posts are due by September 28th.

  1. Wish I was there too… How great must it be to live on that little island.. although I guess you’d have to get on well with your neighbours… lol… That’s certainly one seriously relaxing image Karen…

    • I’m pretty sure those houses are summer homes – whatever they are, I think I could be happy there!

  2. Me, too. I miss the ocean like a really good friend (same with summer).

  3. I wouldn’t mind being there right about now, either – I love peaceful moments like this!

    • I spent literally hours doing just that on this vacation.

  4. Me, five! Love this! (I’m going to buy this little island as soon as I win the lottery! 😉 )

    • Michaela, you wouldn’t believe how many fantasy discussions of doing just that my hubby and I have had!

    • Glad I could be of help! 😉 ( oh no – your avatar has changed to your sock-y feet! Not ready to say goodbye to sandals yet around here!)

  7. Yeah, that looks like an amazing place to be…I can smell the salt air. Wait! I really can! Oh, right. I live in an ocean town. 😀

  8. Today I was on Realtor.com just dreaming about where I could live and happened on a property that supposedly was on an island…seemed so tempting. I think it’s wonderful you had that great vacation, and don’t forget, you’ll be there again someday. Meanwhile you can remember it fondly…and transport yourself back there whenever you need to.

    • This island is very tempting too – it is very close to land and at low tide there is a sand bar you can drive on to get back to the mainland. Pretty convenient! It is on my “bucket list” to live in a place like this some day.
      Thank you Dawn.

  9. I use to fish from an old inner tube on the St. Lawrence river. It is very relaxing. Thank you for the link back! Hope you’ll all join in on on the fun!

  10. A month already? Ohmygosh. I can’t believe how quickly the last month has passed, either, Karen. I feel like there’s been hardly any time to read blogs, let alone comment. We’ll have to remember the days of floating when times get busy.

    • I find myself daydreaming back to that day quite a bit lately. I have a really difficult time letting summer go each year, despite the nice days and beautiful colors we have to look forward to autumn.
