“Your Name in Lights”

Today’s prompt was specific and definitely not a repeat! 🙂 Although it is specific, it still left possibilities wide open for style: “Today, seek out your own name. Whether it’s typed in an email, on your keychain, or beautifully handwritten, celebrate yourself by capturing your name in lights.”

With this substance still being available in overwhelming quantity, here’s where I chose to capture my name:

I sprinkled gold glitter into the snow to make it stand out a little bit more.

  1. After viewing the thumbnail, I was wondering what you used to write your name. Let’s just say glitter did not come to mind. I was wondering if the hubs was leaving you an early Valentine.

  2. Hahaha…. For a moment there I thought that was “Yellow Snow”…. and was thinking that some people go to far to extreme lengths for a shot… Glad you clarified the gold glitter… 😉

  3. I thought the same, Karen. Lol. I got quite a chuckle at you using “yellow snow” to create your name.

  4. Cute! Reminds me of what I did in Nassau – it adds a nice “personal” touch to your photos! http://photobyholly.wordpress.com/2010/11/15/

  7. Silly people with your minds in the gutter, LOL! 😉 I’m just teasing you of course. It didn’t occur to me while I was taking these pictures what it could look like later! When I posted this shot to the gallery for the class I titled it “Writing My Name in the Snow” – then I thought of the “other” way to write one’s name in the snow. 🙄

  8. Yep, yellow snow came first to mind for me as well and I thought, ‘hmmmm, I knew Teddy was smart, but…” 😉

I was, ahem, glad to read your explanation! 🙂

    • Teddy is quite smart, but no, we haven’t taught him to spell, LOL!
