Good morning everyone and welcome to 2011! I hope it is a wonderful year for you. If you haven’t been over to Tracy’s site recently, have a look at her wishes for the new year. I’d like to echo her beautiful sentiment.
I haven’t made much in the way of resolutions, with the exception of getting that cooking binder going, not because things are perfect, but because they can become empty statements that just make us feel bad when we don’t reach them. If you’ve made them and they work for you, all the power to you! I’d rather not set myself up for disappointment. For one short “goal” for this dreary month of January, however, I have signed up for another round of class with Tracy Clark over at Big Picture Classes – Picture Winter. I thought I could use some inspiration for photo taking in this, my least favorite of months.
I received my first prompt this morning. I haven’t taken a picture to go with it yet, and I’m not sure if I will be posting one today. We are spending the day with friends at their daughter’s 8th birthday party (not one of those crazy parties with clowns and pinatas and such, more of an excuse for old friends to hang out together).
I hope you’ll check in regularly this month to see what I’m up to with “Picture Winter.” If anyone might be interested in taking the class along with Becky and me, registration is open until January 5th.
ETA: By a nose, “High Key Teddy” got the most votes from my favorites of 2010. I’ve made that shot my header for the winter.
