Scattered – Picture Fall, day 19

When I saw the title of today’s prompt, the first thing thought I had was, “How am I going to take a picture of my mind?”  That probably wouldn’t work unless I mixed up some Jello and tossed odds and ends inside.  So I moved on.  Find the beauty in the haphazard and strewn about things in my life.  Hmmm, I’m sure you don’t want to see a picture of my laundry or my daughters’ bedroom floors.  So this is what I came up with:

Picture Fall, day 19

These metal balls are scattered on my dining room rug each evening, then carefully picked up and placed into a cup – by Meghan’s toes!  Meghan had been having some pain after her pointe class recently, so we went to see a physical therapist.  He made some recommendations for strengthening various parts of her dancing self, including her feet.  Five minutes each night picking up “Magnetix” toys with the toes is supposed to help her get her natural arch back in her feet.  We shall see!

  1. O.M.G. I took some similar pictures this past week-end, except the silver balls I photographed were part of a chain (have yet to transfer them from the card to my computer!)
This seems like a great exercise, and probably kinda fun, too. I hope it helps!

  2. Well, I guess I’m just as scatter brained as you are…. forgot to mention that I love the reflection in the balls.

    • Gee, Michaela – you are quick today! I just posted this a few minutes ago.
Funny you mention the reflection – I was looking at that trying to see if I could see me lying on my belly on the floor trying to get this shot. I may be there in an unrecognizable way! 🙂
I be looking for your silver ball pictures!

      • Yup, saw it on facebook and had to come over and take a look 🙂
It will probably be early November by the time you get to see it. I just scheduled posts until 10-28 and then I’m hoping to have a few Halloween ones

  3. Found myself looking for your reflection also – very cool picture! Prayers for strength and an arch, Miss Meghan…. 🙂

    • Thank you Cindy! I have a feeling this could be a loooonnnngggg process.
I was actually lying on the floor on my belly when I took that shot, so there may not be too much of me visible in the reflection.

  4. I really like the focus and reflection. I bet Casey could pick those up with his toes, he has great toe dexterity which will serve him well in the future.

    • LOL – I wonder what toe dexterity will do for Casey in the future! 😉

  5. Great perspective and reflection. And what an interesting way to exercise the feet. I hope it works for her. 🙂

    • Thanks Robin. Ever notice those interesting perspective shots are sometimes the hardest (physically) to get?

      • Indeed, I have noticed it, Karma. I carry a towel with me when I’m out and about because I never know when I’ll end up on the ground. lol!
