Quick “Hello” from Maine!

Filed under: Travel — Karma @ 8:17 pm

Hi everyone!  I have a bit of time using some tethered Wi-Fi from hubby’s iPhone so I thought I’d take a minute to share a couple pictures from our first day and half.  Having been here for 30 hours, I’ve taken about 125 pictures so far!  Wonder what that puts me on track to take over the course of the week.  I’m having a lot of fun, even trying to remember the tips I’ve gotten from so many of you helpful folks, plus the things I’ve read in Understanding Exposure.  I’ve got a little mantra I’ve been using to try to keep the  aperture lesson straight: ” big number, big focus area, little number, little focus area.”  (That’s right, I hope? I realize it’s actually that a big number means a small aperture, but you know what I mean, right?)

I’ll will have lots to share as the week goes on; I don’t know if I’ll blog again before I get back, but I hope you don’t get sick of views from Maine! 😀

  8. I see you comment on Amy’s blog and Doreen’s…so I hoped over here… You just vacationed in Maine.. love Maine, I vacationed there most summer when I was a kid, in Bar Harbor.. so pretty. As a matter of fact, next summer we will be vacationing there…

I think you live in MA since you like the Boston Red Sox and guess what, we are moving there shortly… we have already been on a house hunting trip. We are originally from NJ and I went to college in Boston so I semi familiar with the area.

Looking forward to getting to know you better…

    • Hi Cheryl,
Thanks for stopping by. I’ve commented on Amy’s blog but I don’t think I’ve commented on Doreen’s, but I could be mistaken!
Yup, I am in MA, but the western part. Bar Harbor is beautiful! I’ve only been there once, but would love to go back sometime.

      • how west? Like Stockbridge? My husband will be working in Framingham, and we are looking in the Hopkinton/Westboro area as of right now. So fun to “meet” some relatively close to my new home….

      • No, not quite that far west! I live Wilbraham, just outside of Springfield. I have good friends in Hopedale and Bellingham – I don’t think either are far from Hopkinton. Do you have a blog, Cheryl? Your name doesn’t link to one, but I thought I saw a “Cheryl” on the side of Amy’s blog – is that you?
