The days are winding down in my one-month commitment to take a picture for class and blog about it each day. I’ve no way to predict of course, but I’d imagine the next few days, including today, could have a Halloween feel to them. Today’s prompt is named after one of my favorite childhood tv specials.
My pumpkin isn’t carved or decorated yet for Halloween, but Cedric decided to investigate the new arrival to the house, as cats are wont to do:

Personally, I’m looking forward to chopping open the pumpkin’s head and eating its brains!!! Buh-wa-ha-ha-ha! Oh, er, um, by that, I mean the seeds, of course, roasted with plenty of salt.

You do that scary laugh well!
I love Cedric’s name – are you sharing those pumpkin seeds!

I’m sure the family will have had their fill of salty pumpkin seeds by the end of this weekend!

Did you see it on tv tonight? We watched it although Griffin, the 10-year-old, ditched half way through. Made me kinda sad that he’s now too old for the Great Pumpkin. He’ll be back, no one can stay away from Snoopy for long.
Looks like Cedric is sportin’ some grills. lol

Yes, I watched Snoopy and friends, but all by myself!

I LOVE carving pumpkins, but we didn’t get any pumpkins this year, just the two small ones that the girls got to decorate. We already had to throw one of them out because it got fuzzy

I’d say it is time to at least “lobotomize” the pumpkin you have left so you can have the seeds before those get fuzzy!

Happy Halloween, Karma! Eating pumpkin brains, my goodness! You are a very brave woman. I have some pumpkin brains in my freezer. And a recipe somewhere that adds soy sauce and spices. Mmm….pumpkin brains & a movie tonight. Good suggestion!

Pumpkin brains in the freezer???
Seems like an odd thing to store!
Just took mine out of the oven – sprinkled with butter and salt before roasting, mmmmmm!
